Riverfront Park | Army Wives

I hate being “that spouse” but my best friend got me hooked on Army Wives. Something about it is just so addicting! I’d avoided the show for years because I was under the impression it was some sort of reality TV show… thank goodness it’s not! Something about the plot lines is just so addicting that it’s hard to stop watching. Perfect show for my crafting days!

The day I started watching the series on Netflix, P and I went to Riverfront Park which is where a lot of the episodes were filmed. I’ll definitely want to go back now that I’ve seen a LOT of the show, but the day we went we were just looking for a new place in the area to explore.

It is SO gorgeous there! I wish we were going to stay here forever because South Carolina has yet another location perfect for photography sessions… I’m going to miss all this beautiful Southern charm! P isn’t into the whole “live in SC 50% of the time when we’re older” idea and I’d miss my parents too much (I already do!) but don’t worry… I’ve made him promise that our home in Washington will have a lot of Southern charm, even in the middle of the PNW. My little piece of SC will always be with me in one form or another 🙂

The park is on part of what used to be the old Navy base/yard in Charleston until the late 1990s so that was a cool piece of history too. They have a nice memorial by the water with the history behind the Navy in the area and for those who served here.

There’s also a really small dog park there that I can’t wait to take Roscoe to. It has jumps which I think our little jumper will absolutely LOVE!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! “See” you on Monday!
