Life

Monday Thanks

This past week was so busy, exhausting, and fun. I’m definitely still catching up on my sleep and getting back into eating healthy because I have not felt super good but already using a smoothie instead of coffee to kickstart my morning today has made a HUGE difference. My body must have wanted all the vitamins!

Despite being incredibly tired, so many good things happened this past week and there are so many things I am thankful for that it just seemed appropriate to start the week out with a thankful post!

I’m thankful… that I finished my biology class (6 credits in 6 weeks) AND ended up loving it AND ended up with a 93.6% in the class. From the school’s standards, I just missed a 4.0 by half a percent but I’m so proud of myself. I was super scared to take the class thinking it would be my first grade in the 2’s range in terms of GPA, but it was far from that! And it raised my confidence (and love!) of science courses that I may need to take in the future!

I’m thankful… for new friends! I recognized Katelyn’s last name from when my husband was a duty driver on hold for school and we got to talking. Turns out we have TONS in common and our husbands are also practically the same person! We’ve hung out a few times since then and yesterday evening the four of us went to this pizza place called Mellow Mushroom (SO good, btw! Another SC thing I will miss!) It was so much fun! I’m so thankful to have met her and as an added bonus, are husbands are in the same class AND on the same insane rotating shift schedule week to week. It’s like it was all meant to be!

I’m thankful… for parents that text me constantly throughout the day. I may sometimes be busy and not be able to reply right away, but texts and pictures from home sure make things a bit easier. It’s nice to have them be part of my days still!

I’m thankful… for my husband who told me to take a nap this weekend while he cleaned the apartment. He could see how tired I was and waking up to a clean apartment this morning was so amazing.

I’m thankful… that this move has given me the opportunity to expand my photography in ways I never even thought were possible. I’ve been able to book so many sessions and grow so much as a photographer and I’m excited to see where it takes me at P’s next duty station. This weekend I was able to capture maternity photos for the cutest parents-to-be and I’m so excited to continue editing the images this week!

Happy Monday and take time to be thankful this week!

xoxo
